Savory ground beef and melty cheddar-mozzarella are rolled into pizza dough, brushed with butter, and baked until golden and bubbly.
Step 1: Cook the beef
Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks, 7–10 minutes. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess grease and let the beef cool slightly.
Step 2: Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to the temperature listed on your pizza dough package. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (or lightly grease it).
Step 3: Roll out the dough
Roll the pizza dough out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle (about 10x14 inches, or similar).
Step 4: Add the filling
Sprinkle the cheddar evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Spread the cooked beef evenly over the cheddar, then sprinkle the mozzarella on top.
Step 5: Roll into a log
Starting from a long side, tightly roll the dough into a log, tucking in the filling as you go. Pinch the seam and ends to seal, then place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 6: Brush with butter
Brush the melted butter all over the top and sides of the roll.
Step 7: Bake until golden
Bake according to the pizza dough package timing guidelines, or until the roll is deep golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 15–25 minutes.
Step 8: Slice and serve
Rest for 5 minutes, then slice into portions and serve hot.
